Port Barton is a very small, peaceful and sleepy village. There’s a handful of accommodation and restaurants well suited for budget backpackers and it’s the perfect place to stopover on your way to the North of Palawan. Beautiful islands with white sand and perfect coral for snorkeling are the main attractions that lie off the coast of Port Barton. The local people are friendly and are living their lives the way they always have. Besides visiting the islands, there’s kayaking, waterfalls and if you’re lucky, an illegal cockfighting match!

BUDGET BACKPACKING GUIDE TO THE PHILIPPINES
Hey guys!
I just got back from Port Barton two days ago – and everything you mentioned is on point (the dirt /muddy road to get there was rather scary!)
I hope it stays rather undiscovered – it’s so peaceful and feels rather unexplored. Can’t imagine what it would be like 5 years from now!
Great read – thank you!

How do you get there? What does it cost to get there? What’s the cost of living? Is it at all handicap accessible?
We are looking for a place that is somewhat handicapped accessible.
