Bactrian camels are native to Central Asia, and herds can be found in the deserts of Mongolia as well! These camels are unique from others in that they have 2 humps, as opposed to just 1 hump. We spotted wild camels during our Gobi Desert tour, as well as some other camels that were used for transporting people to the sand dunes.
