The beautiful sunsets of Boracay island is made even more spectacular by the many Paraw sailboats silhouetted against the horizon. Before Boracay became a major tourist attraction, the traditional Paraw sailboats with their two outriggers, were mainly used for fishing and transporting goods. Today many local sailors offer paraws tours to tourists for island hopping and sunset sailing. The sunsets here are stunning! Each afternoon we went out to the beach to watch the sun dip down into the sea, painting the sky yellow, red and pink. It truly was breathtaking and one of the best memories we have of Boracay.
A big thank-you to Maria for sharing this gorgeous sunset with us! Although we’ve been to the Philippines, we haven’t yet made it to Boracay – looks like we’ll have to go back 🙂
