Sometimes in India, and especially the bigger cities like Mumbai, the craziness of the day can be overwhelming. Something as simple as taking a stroll down the waterside promenade can help ease the mind and provide the soul with that much-needed peacefulness! We were in Mumbai in 2009 and even though we had great experiences in the city, it was nice to spend the evenings close to the water. We would stroll down Chaupati Beach and enjoy watching the local people swimming, vendors selling their wares and families enjoying the late afternoon sun.

  1. I loved Chaupati Beach – not for the beach itself, but for the atmosphere each evening. it’s as though the people of Mumbai have emerged to celebrate another day over!
