Condesa is without a doubt one of the best neighborhoods to stay in Mexico City. I lived in Condesa for a month earlier this year and quickly fell in love with the place.

It’s one of the safest neighborhoods in Mexico City and has a fantastic central location. The streets are clean and lined with trees, and the architecture is truly beautiful.

There are also several tranquil parks and public gardens to escape to where you can leave the noise and intensity of the enormous city behind.

Condesa has great nightlife, and a large number of excellent cafes, restaurants and bars. It also has good transport links and lots of fantastic museums within easy walking distance.

Due to its popularity, you’ll find a large number of Airbnbs in La Condesa, with something to suit all budgets.

1. Sunny & Spacious 2-story Apartment

This spacious apartment has a stunning private terrace with outdoor furniture, and is decorated with plenty of plants and greenery.

From here, you have great views of the Church of San José de la Montaña. It’s your own little natural oasis in the heart of the city.

Inside, the apartment has two floors, with a large master bedroom, and a double-height living/dining room and kitchen. It can accommodate up to three guests but would be perfect for two.

It has a cozy interior and is decorated with plenty of plants and greenery in the area.

The location is fantastic; a mere two blocks from the outdoor Mercado Escandón market – one of my favorite markets in the city – where you can buy a range of fresh produce, fruit and vegetables, prepared food, clothes, and more.

This stylish two-bedroom apartment can sleep up to four people and has a great location, near the Parque México. At night, this is an amazing place to come for some spontaneous salsa dancing – super fun and a great way to make some local friends.

This studio loft has an open plan living area which opens out onto a substantial private wrap-around terrace. The terrace is decorated with many plants and has an outside table, chairs, and bench for you to enjoy the incredible views and sunsets.

Indoors, it’s a little on the small size and is one of the more expensive Condesa apartments on this list. However, if you don’t mind sacrificing indoor space for the incredible balcony, and if your budget allows, this would be a very special place to stay during your time in CDMX.

The loft has a terrace that is decorated with many plants and has an outside table, chairs, and bench for you to enjoy the incredible views and sunsets. The designer furniture is stylish and comfortable, and there’s a large bathroom with a walk-in rain shower and washer-drier that’s free for guests to use.

It’s located close to Balboa Pizzería, one of the best pizza places in the area.

4. Beautiful Art Deco Apartment (One of the Best Budget Airbnbs in Condesa, Mexico City)

This one-bedroom apartment is located in a beautiful Art Deco building on a peaceful street just one block away from the tranquil Parque México.

The location is superb and is mere meters from some of the best restaurants and cafes in La Condesa. Check out Churrería El Moro, which serves the best churros I’ve ever eaten.

Both the price and location are great, and the kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. It’s not particularly big, but this studio apartment would be perfect for either a solo traveler or a couple who are comfortable sharing a smaller space.

This two-bedroom apartment can sleep up to four people, with a king-size bed in one room and a queen in the other.

It was recently fully renovated and is airy, quiet, and private. Floor-to-ceiling windows let in plenty of natural light throughout the day, and the décor and furniture is Mexican-inspired and tasteful.

This is a midrange apartment with touches of high-end class. It has a large private terrace, enclosed by greenery, where you can relax in peace, surrounded by nature.

These precautions include: not walking down the street with your phone in your hand, being especially careful if wearing noise-canceling headphones, not leaving your drinks unattended in bars, and avoiding walking home by yourself at night if you’re intoxicated.

How to get from Mexico City airport to Condesa?

The easiest way to get from Mexico City airport to Condesa is by taking an Uber. A ride from the airport to Condesa will cost about 250-300 Mexican pesos (approximately $13-15 USD). The journey takes around 35-45 minutes in normal traffic conditions.
