There are a few places to stay in Puerto Princesa. However, we found this place to be the more affordable, and nicer option:

The Dallas Inn in Puerto Princesa is only 3 years old, it’s small, but really cool. It’s run by a young family and the staff are so friendly, speak great English and are very helpful. The rooms are bamboo thatched, there’s a chill-out area with hammocks and a small ‘restaurant’ area with tables where backpackers hangout at night having beers.
The Dallas Inn has 4 double rooms and a dorm which can sleep 8 people. A double room with fan, attached bathroom and wi-fi costs 600p. The dorm is 300p/person. Free coffee and tea is available all day and they can serve eggs with toast for breakfast (on request) for 50p.
Pros: great staff, free wi-fi, nice rooms, quiet sleep, funky place.
Cons: the rooms are pretty small and it’s a tricycle ride away from most of the restaurants.
We definitely recommend staying at the Dallas Inn, Puerto Princesa. It has everything you need! They can even arrange tours to the Underground River in Sabang and Honda Bay tours as well.
